English Wood tile collection by Casalgrande Padana

Dezeen Showroom: accentuated veining and delicate neutral shades define the English Wood indoor and outdoor tile collection by Italian brand Casalgrande Padana.

The porcelain stoneware collection comes in six soft colours – Highland, Cheshire, Galloway, Dean, Epping and Snowdonia – and intends to emulate natural oak wood.

"Oak is synonymous with quality and elegance and has been used since ancient times," said Casalgrande Padana.

Available in three sizes, the tiles also come with a natural or antislip finish, making the product durable for outdoor use.

"Laid on screed with adhesive, they make stunning balconies, patios, terraces, verandas and poolsides. Applied directly to turf, gravel, or sand, they create walkways you can walk on right away," continued the brand.

Suitable for large commercial areas as well as domestic outdoor spaces, English Wood offers a variety of layering solutions – from parallel to herringbone formations.

Upon request, the tiles can be fitted with Casalgrande Padana's Bios Antibacterial technology, which eliminates 99 per cent of bacteria on the surface of a product, according to the brand.

English Wood is fire-resistant and easy to clean, while fixed or height-adjustable polypropylene pedestals help create raised outdoor flooring that allows you to hide electrical and water supply systems beneath it.

"These tiles' outstanding technical features and texture – reminiscent of pickled oak with its natural, shifting, contrasting veining – allow for endless creative possibilities," added Casalgrande Padana.
